Snowshoe Olympics - If you ever have wanted to have some fun playing in the snow, this is it, The Snowshoe Olympics are open to all. Have fun with the One Legged Hill Climb, the Obstacle Course, and the Snowshoe Downhill - All Week Long at the US Forest Visitors Center on Highway 203. Fee is $20.00 - 760-924-4200

Ice Fishing - Yes, ice fishing, the sport of Eskimos and Alaskans alike. Contest for the biggest fish. Dave Neal will show you how to keep your worms from freezing. Bring your own equipment or make a reservation to rent your pole and equipment from Kittredge 760-934-7566. 8:30-4:00P, Tamarack Lodge Admission is free.

Easter Play Day - The Parks and Recreation have taken to hiding eggs and chocolate bunnies all over town. Join them for a city wide Easter Egg Hunt and Play Day starting at Mammoth Creek Park on Sunday at 10:00AM. Free. 760-934-8989.

Activities
Sleigh Rides - Are you listening? Sierra Summit Meadows is once again offering horse drawn sleigh rides all winter long. The Clydesdales are pulling family size sleighs across the meadows. A scenic adventure to see the countryside or take the evening package that includes dinner. Reservations are required. 760-555-1212

Snow Climb - Tired of Skiing? Kittredge Sport Shop runs snow tours where you can hike and climb in the backcountry. Learn how to scale Mammoth's glacier and hike in extreme conditions while you look for local wildlife and enjoy the winter's awesome nature. Warm clothes necessary, bring water and snow boots. Nightlife

The Fun Bus is Waiting - Slocums, Grumpy's, and Whiskey Creek are at it again for those who want to meet others after skiing. Their annual Peach Pub Crawl is from 9:00 - Midnight Saturday starting at Slocums in town. Join the group on the Trolley as they sing and be merry with drink specials and the very special Fuzzy Buster. You won't want to miss it. For Kids

Storytelling - Mammoth Public Library has a special Dr. Seuss week. Our fellow townspeople gather in costume and props to read the classic "Cat in the Hat", Go Dog Go and other famous stories for the young and young at heart. 9am-12 Mon - Friday. 760-934-4777

Snow Painting - Join the Mono Arts Council as they paint pictures in the snow. There are prizes for the best artwork in categories such as Extreme Painting, Scenic Adventures, and Sport Terrific. All materials are supplied. Bring your imagination. 760-934-3342

On The Mountain
Ford - No Boundaries - It's time for the Extreme Half Pipe. This is the last event prior to the World Cup finals in Austria. See Mammoth's own Tommy compete against Ross Parks and the contenders from Aspen in a 50,000 free style ride. Best viewing is from the sun deck at the Mountain Main Lodge. Bad Weather
Saucer and Sledz: If the wind is blowing, you can count on Sledz to be going. This is a perfect event for family fun whether you have primo weather or not. Rentals are available or bring your own. Young kids need adult supervision. Admission is $10 per person per day. Open day 8:30 - 4:00, on Minaret Road up the hill to the Mountain. 760-934-7533.
