City Concierge opens Big Bear Reservations for the winter 2008-2009 season. With 350 cabins and homes set in the San Bernardino forest slopeside at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, it is a perfect weekend getaway. Lodging prices start at about $100 a night for a small cabin in the woods, and the larger homes for larger groups around $300. Big Bear is only 1.5 hours to the base of the mountains from Los Angeles, so it is a great way to spend the 2 day weekend, ski a little and cozy up to a warm fire. The town of Big Bear is caught in time, so it is still rustic and simple, which adds to the charm. Each rentals is fully equipped, just bring yourself, your gear, some food and you're all set for a great weekend in the forest.
