Starry, Starry Night.... that is what you get when you sleep under the Jefferson Pines in Mammoth. The Mammoth Lakes Basin has the most amount of camp sites, but there are campgrounds from the moment you reach town, until you head out into the back country, and also down in Red's Meadow. About 2000 place to park your tent. Many of the campgrounds allow you to reserve online through our partners Reserve America. We highly recomend booking ahead when you can. All other sites, and family /group campgrounds are first come, first serve. If you are unsure of which grounds have availability, and you did not book ahead, stop by the Forest Ranger office on your way to town. They'll send you to the "Last Best Place" in Mammoth.
