The annual Mammoth Mountain Night of Lights festival of fireworks and torchlight parade kicks of the holiday season. With skiers with roman candles, sparklers and music, music, music it is a wonderful family experience. Each year the Night of Lights gets bigger and this year we celebrate just in time for the holidays. December 17marks the day, and based on past experience... the roof of Canyon Lodge is the idea viewing location. Ticket are $35 for this prime spot, but you can watch for free from the snow. There is Food, Music, 'adult beverages' all a part of the evening, and we remind you to DRESS WARM. It gets very cold.

This year "The Naked and The Famous" will play in the Canyon Lodge Club Room. The activities start at 5 PM and there will be free shuttle buses running till after the event which ends about 10 PM . You won't want to miss the "snow cat ballet" a new feature this year. This is one of most clever and beautiful events in Mammoth and definitely family friendly. This first week of the holidays is an awesome time to travel to Mammoth as City Concierge lodging is less this week, than the week of Christmas / New Years, so you can plan an affordable vacation.
