Snow is falling in Mammoth Lakes! Like manna from heaven, the snow is blanketing the Sierra Nevada. The recent storms have brought 18" of snow to the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort and the more is expected. This season is particularly plentiful, and with this month of February 2008, Mammoth has surpassed the entire snowfall for last year by 3 feet!. The best snowfall was just 3 years ago with nearly 55 feet of snow from start to finish. With the current storms, and the prediction to be above average, Mammoth Mountain will stay open till the usual July 4, when everyone takes a fun run from top to bottom in their T-shrits and shorts. Yes, Independence day! Hooray for the Red, Blue and White of snow!
